Far too often, Bible verses are used against the LGBTQ community by religious people to promote their own agenda. Religious texts are wielded as tools of prejudice, their messages distorted to fit narrow perspectives. We examine the motives behind this problematic interpretation and discuss the dangers of viewing these ancient texts outside their historical and cultural contexts.
